Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day operations and fleet producivity
- Advise drivers and help them manage their time using ELD to continually improve daily and weekly mileage performance
- Ensure loads are picked up and delivered on time
- Schedule pickups and deliveries as needed
- Assist drivers as needed with other departments
- Communicate with drivers throughout the load transit to build good relationship
- Monitor payroll and profitability for all drivers to ensure driver requirements are being met
- Focus on driver retention by understanding driver preferences and monitoring driver performance
- Keep drivers informed and motivated.
- Resolve driver conflicts, problems, and requests with respect
Experience required
- Experience as a dispatcher or fleet manager in a trucking company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills(knowledge of Mcleod software a plus)
- Ability to work in fast and dynamic environment and tolerate stress
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including good listening skills
- Be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills
- Must be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment, also must be familiar with all load boards like 3Sixty, Internet Truckstop etc.
